Kathy Arnott

KATHY

DIRECTOR

Kathy started her career working in financial public relations before taking a career break to raise her three children and guide them through the early years of their education. She subsequently worked as a Montessori teacher for over 10 years before she and Stephen set up Great British Guardians to support international students.

Kathy supports Stephen in the day to day running of Great British Guardians. When not focusing her energies on caring for GBG students, she also provides administrative support to her two daughters, Lara and Isabella, both of whom are successful photographers.

MARK

EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

Mark was born and raised in Hong Kong and started schooling in the UK at the age of eight where he was educated at Aldro Prep School, Radley College and the University of Leeds.

As someone who arrived in the UK with no friends, family, or English language, Mark can fully relate to the challenges that are experienced by international students.

Mark now spends his time working with international students to provide support, advice and clarity to their everyday challenges. By encouraging them to fully immerse themselves into the local culture, engage in positive social interactions and overcome their obstacles outside the classroom, Mark provides students with the confidence to achieve their goals and reach their full potential in their studies.

Oliver Arnott

OLLY

LEGAL & STRATEGIC CONSULTANT

Olly is Stephen and Kathy’s oldest son.

He started helping out with GBG during the second lockdown, when we had the house full of students who could not go back to their homes.

As a qualified lawyer and practicing management consultant, Olly provides support with legal, strategy and marketing. He also offers mentoring to many of our students, be it help with school work or extra-curricular activities.

LEO & SIMBA

FAMILY DOGS

Leo and Simba are our much loved family dogs.

They both have a huge amount of character, but are very gentle and affectionate. Our students enjoy taking them on walks around the fields – a very British countryside activity.

Simba became famous in 2020 when he went missing down a rabbit hole for two weeks, and then remarkably reappeared!
